Learning about the Olympics

I learnt that the people that go to the Olympics have to train for 4 years to actually go to the Olympics.

I think the Olympics should not be on because of coronavirus. and for the Olympics they are using billions of dollars. do you think that Olympic should be on.

Maths whizz

Today when we were doing maths whizz I originally had three progressions and after about 30 minutes I got another 5 progressions now I have got 8 progressions and 101 minutes. They were kind of hard maths tasks but also really easy. The tasks that i was doing were all place value.

This term we have been doing lots of stuff like sculpt gl, spelling, persuasive writing, debating, Matariki activities, painting and more.

Sculpt gl is a 3D crafting game it starts off as a round ball and you can turn it into anything you want.  It is one of the coolest things I've ever been on. I also learnt the song Etu tangata that was very fun.   We have writing about zoos - are they good are bad?  I like doing this.  

During Matariki we painted a picture of a Matariki Mother on a wooden star, some writing about why Matariki should or should not be a public holiday.  I think it should not be!!

boat basket

 Today we made boat basket we made it out of flax. The first time i made my boat basket broke so the next   day I tried making it again and it was perfect. We made them because we are having a sausage sizzle at   school and we are going to use the baskets to carry the sausages in.

Biggest skateboard visit

Today we had a massive skateboard come to our school, they have been travelling around the whole of New Zealand. They are promoting the Olympics. It was very cool it is the biggest skateboard in the world. This year the Olympics is held in Tokyo.

BS Coast to Coast

 Today we had to do facts about the Coast to Coast it taken quite a long time do you know about the coast to coast race.

Today we had to do a tangram it is basically a puzzle. And it is very fun it taken me about 20 minutes it is pretty hard. I have learned how to rotate and twist things.
